Radiofrequency body contouring
Love your shape with Radiofrequency body contouring
At Aesthetics Lab, we understand just how persistent stubborn fat and cellulite can be. You’ve tried everything with diet and exercise but the bottom line is that it won’t budge an inch. Whether you’re struggling with baby weight, a muffin top or are looking to sculpt your body, we’re here to help.
Our radiofrequency body contouring brings together 2 incredible methods of fat reduction and body contouring in 1 award-winning technology. The Exilis Elite machine uses both mono-polar radiofrequency and ultrasound to target those stubborn areas of fat and cellulite while firming and tightening the skin without surgery, anaesthetic or even downtime.*
There’s no doubt that this treatment is ahead of its time. Scientifically proven, its safe energy heats your skin and the fat cells beneath. This helps speeds up the fat cells’ metabolic activity causing them to shrink. At the same time, collagen is stimulated and strengthened to help firm your skin and improve tone and texture.
The heat used is controlled by the Exilis Elite’s unique cooling feature so there are no worries that it’s too hot to handle. Lots of people find the treatment really relaxing as the heat feels similar to the sun on a warm day. You’ll need more than 1 treatment to start seeing results so we recommend a course of 6 treatments and regular top-ups – but everyone is different so we can talk through this when you come in for your consultation.
What can we treat with radiofrequency body contouring?
The great news is that this treatment is suitable for just about anywhere but it’s especially superb for:
- Saddle bags
- Love handles

- Bingo wings (flabby arms)
- Abdominal fat deposits
- Post-baby tummies
*Individual results may vary. This treatment is not a weight-loss solution. At Aesthetics Lab we encourage our clients to adopt a healthy lifestyle to maximise results.
Your treatment step by step
Radiofrequency body contouring consultation
During your consultation with one of our highly-experienced Aestheticians, we will find out more about your concerns and goals and talk through the treatment in detail. We will go through your medical history and analyse the areas you’re looking to treat in order to prepare a suitable treatment plan. It is a good opportunity to ask any questions you might have – we will always answer openly and honestly.
Radiofrequency body contouring treatment
Hydration is an essential part of this treatment, and you will be asked to drink water the day before, the day of and the day after treatment. This helps lymphatic drainage and improves results.
On your first treatment, we will take photographs of the areas treated for your records and to help us track progress of the treatments.
During the treatment, a disposable grounding pad will be applied to your back or buttock. This attaches to the contouring machine to enable energy to be delivered effectively to the target tissue. Treatment will then begin.
After Radiofrequency body contouring treatment
There is no downtime to this treatment so you can resume your day as normal. We recommend drinking plenty of water and scheduling an exercise session or walk for 30 minutes on the day of your treatment to speed up metabolism, aid lymphatic drainage and toxin elimination.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is radiofrequency body contouring?
This treatment is offered with the award-winning Exilis Elite machine which uses a combination of targeted mono-polar radio frequency and ultrasound to help stimulate the breakdown of fat cells and remodel collagen to tighten the skin. It is non-invasive with no downtime.
Is the treatment comfortable?
The treatment feels like an intense warming of the skin. Although it will feel hot, it should never feel painful and will not burn you. Your Aesthetician will talk to you throughout and keep a check on your comfort. The applicator has an in-built cooling tip for extra comfort.
How long does treatment take?
This depends on the area being treated. Treatment time varies from 30 to 120 minutes on average. Your Aesthetician will explain how long your treatment will take when you go through your treatment plan after your initial consultation.
How many radiofrequency body contouring treatments will I need?
This varies from one person to the next but we usually recommend a course of 4 to 6 treatments. You may need extra treatments and maintenance courses to get the best results. During your initial consultation, we’ll assess your skin and body and discuss realistic results. From this, you will have a recommended course length. Treatments are every 7 to 10 days.
How quickly should I see results?
This will depend on your body type, the area treated and the results you’re looking for. Most people notice a visible and lasting improvement after 2 to 3 sessions.
How long should results last?
Following a complete treatment course, results should last for as long as you maintain a healthy lifestyle. Again, this varies from one individual to the next and depends on factors including diet, age and genetics. Top-up treatments may help to maintain results. We recommend you wait 3 months after the end of your course before booking a top-up. We also have a range of treatments, skincare products and healthy-lifestyle coaching to help you maintain results.
