What is HIFU Skin Tightening?
This High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) device performs the same procedure a cosmetic surgeon would do but without the scalpel and the associated downtime. Ultraformer III is also a much more comfortable alternative to the Ultherapy treatment yet is as effective.
The treatment takes between 30-60 minutes and has no downtime, causing only slight redness.
Ultraformer III works on the Muscle Fascia (SMAS) deep below the skin. Instead of surgery, the Ultraformer harnesses ultrasound technology to radiate energy to the SMAS layer to tighten, lift and plump the skin. What’s more, treatment takes just under an hour and results are seen immediately, while the improvements continue to be seen for up to 9 months as your collagen is renewed.
Four multi-depth cartridges directly transfer ultrasound energy into multiple layers of the treated area to trigger collagen renewal for tighter, younger complexion; while MMFU (micro-macro focused ultrasound) technology transfer an equal distribution of ultrasound energy into the subcutaneous tissue, applying high-intensity focused ultrasound at temperatures of 65-75°C.
This causes micro-coagulation and subcutaneous fat micro-reduction which in term creates the desired facelift. The practitioner reviews the skin condition and uses the appropriate depth for each treatment area.

Step 1: Consultation
Aesthetics Lab is dedicated to ensuring your health and well being. During your initial Ultraformer III consultation, we review your medical history together to ensure that this procedure is right for you.

Step 2: During your treatment
Your aesthetician will apply a clear gel to the specified area and the treatment will begin.
Up to four multi-depth cartridges directly transfer ultrasound energy into multiple layers of the face to trigger collagen renewal for tighter skin; while macro-focused cartridges transfer an equal distribution of ultrasound energy into the subcutaneous tissue of multiple body areas, inducing contractions as well as naturally disposing of stubborn fat cells for contouring purposes.
During the procedure, you may notice a slight prickling sensation. Once the Ultraformer III procedure is complete, the gel will be removed and an SPF will be applied.
Step 3: After the treatment
Following your Ultraformer III procedure, you will be able to continue with your day to day activities.
Once we remove the gel and you will notice an instant lift, which will continue to gradually improve over the following nine months.

Is the Ultraformer III procedure painful?
Ultraformer III has been dubbed the comfortable alternative to surgery and Ultherapy. Due to its uniquely designed transducer system clients often feel minimal discomfort during the treatment. Any uncomfortable sensations typically subside immediately following the procedure.
What are the side effects?
Very rarely one may experience slight redness for a few hours after the treatment as well as swelling or tingling in the treatment area for up to a few weeks. There may also be bruising and numbness on treated areas but this should resolve 2-4 weeks following the procedure.
