What Is PRP Treatment?
PRP treatment works by processing a small sample of your blood (taken from your arm) through a centrifuge machine, which separates the blood into two layers. The red blood cells move to the bottom, while the plasma, which is full of protein and growth factors, rises to the top. This plasma can then be carefully injected into damaged tissues to accelerate healing along with increasing collagen production and connective tissue formation, leading to skin tightening and overall rejuvenation.
At Aesthetics Lab, our PRP treatment uses the latest technology centrifuge machine, the Cellenis PRP, as it achieves the highest platelet concentration yield, between 90-95%. This, in turn, helps achieve faster new blood vessel formation, which leads to a natural and glowing complexion. It also enhances skin texture, colour and tone with minimal to no downtime.
Step 1: Consultation
Your health and wellbeing come first at Aesthetics Lab. During your initial PRP Intensive Collagen Induction Therapy consultation with Dr Liesel Holler, we will talk through your medical history to be sure there are no contraindications. Dr Holler will then fully assess your skin and your skincare routine, as to suitably tailor your treatment. This is a great time to ask us any questions. We always answer openly, with honesty.
Step 2: During your treatment
Once you are at ease in one of our tranquil treatment rooms, Dr Holler will take a sample of your blood. This will be processed in a specialised machine to obtain Platelet Rich Plasma. The procedure begins with micro-needling, which creates hundreds of micro channels in the skin. PRP is then massaged into this treatment area. During the final stage of the procedure, a hyaluronic mask will be applied, as you relax under the healing LED lights.

Step 3: After the treatment
Following PRP Intensive Collagen Induction procedures, it is normal to experience some redness and tenderness to the treated area. This mild after effect will reduce within an hour.
